I decided to make something that would give me luck and it was amazingly delicious!
Recipe:
Leftover ham bone or 1 ham hock
8 cups of water
1 bag of black eye peas (or 2 cans)
1 large yellow onion
1 bunch of collards
4 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons salt
4 tablespoons Morton's Natures Seasoning
Boil the ham bone or hock on medium for 4 hours. Soak black eyed peas according to bag. Take ham out of water and use ham that is left over after simmering. Add peas, onion, collards, and seasoning. Continue cooking for 25-30 minutes.
